Welcome to SkillMe! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SkillMe website, platform, and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Internship Program

SkillMe provides an open-source internship simulation platform. The internship involves contributing to open-source repositories managed by SkillMe or its partners. We do not guarantee employment, nor are you considered an employee of SkillMe during the internship period.

2. User Accounts and Eligibility

You must provide accurate and complete information when applying for the internship and creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3. Certificate Processing Fee

While the internship program itself is entirely free, obtaining the verified Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation requires a nominal, one-time processing fee (currently ₹249). This fee covers the cost of server hosting, certificate generation, cryptographic verification, and digital delivery. Payment of this fee is optional and is only required if you wish to receive the verifiable credentials.

4. Code of Conduct

All interns are expected to maintain professional conduct. Plagiarism, harassment, or malicious activity within our open-source repositories will result in immediate termination from the program without a certificate.

5. Intellectual Property

Your contributions to the open-source projects remain governed by the respective open-source licenses of those repositories (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0). You retain the right to showcase your merged Pull Requests in your portfolio.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website.
